A plate stacking device comprising a vertical column with side faces, one or more of the side faces being provided with plate supports, wherein each plate support comprises two upper projections horizontally in line with each other, and a lower projection which is longer than the two upper projections and which lies at a distance below the two upper projections, wherein the upper projections projecting from a side face are lateral extensions of adjacent column walls. |
