<p>The invention relates to a system and device for improving the monitoring and safety of workers at a pre-determined location. The system comprises: a set of cap lamps (devices), known as primary nodes, including a lighting device, a lighting control module, a transmission and reception module that connects the lamp to a wireless network, and a general control module that controls the operation of the transmission and reception module and of the lighting control module. The lamps transmit messages to a central unit and receive messages from the central unit via the aforementioned wireless network. At least one lamp, known as the routing node and comprising a transmission and reception module, transmits messages that it receives from other lamps to the central unit and transmits messages received from the central unit, and directed to at least one other lamp, to the relevant lamp. At least one central unit, which communicates with the routing nodes, receives information from the primary nodes, processes said information and transmits orders to the primary nodes in accordance with the processed information.</p> |
