A circuit breaker according to the present invention comprises: an arc barrier blocking backward movement of an arc on the upper part of a movable contact; an insertion assisting spring supported on the arc barrier to apply an elastic force to the movable contact in the insertion direction, and contacted with the upper surface of the movable contact; and a deposition preventing member installed between the insertion assisting spring and the upper surface of the movable contact, to prevent the deposition of the insertion assisting spring and the movable contact by the arc. Therefore, a problem of operation reliability degradation such as operation defect of an opening and closing tool and insertion defect of a circuit breaker caused by deposition between parts can be solved. |
