Provided are a method and an apparatus for providing a push service, wherein the method for providing the push service by a push gateway comprises the steps of: an integrated conversion step of receiving a program language based source file from a source file providing device and converting the source file into an individual application code corresponding to each of plural mobile device operating systems; an application update step of transmitting the individual application code to an application providing device corresponding to each of the plural mobile device operating systems; a message transmission step of transmitting a push request message to a push providing device corresponding to each of the plural mobile device operating systems; and a feedback receiving step of receiving response data on whether reception of the push request message is successful from a terminal.
