Abstract QueueChecker is a queue analysis mechanism, that allows an individual to determine the conditions of a pre selected site or location prior to arriving at it. This is typically found in public settings where long queues are likely to form and long wait times are likely to be experienced. Using facial recognition technology QueueChecker determines how many individuals are in a frame (or loop) of CCTV (closed circuit television) and graphically converts this data into standard forms of silhouettes. The number of faces identified in a frame or loop of footage is converted into generic silhouettes and represented on a virtual screen or background. This means if 3 faces are detected 3 silhouettes are generated with other details regarding the location. An algorithm generates an estimated waiting time based on the conditions found at the specific location.
