PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder and an image reader that can suppress a decrease in visibility of a guide display part provided for an opening/closing body.SOLUTION: A recorder 11 includes a recording part 13 which records in a recording area, a housing part 12 which has a wall part 44a and houses the recording part 13, and an opening/closing body 15 which is fitted to the housing part 12 to be opened and closed. The opening/closing body 15 has a front-end surface 23 which faces the wall part 44a at a closing position and separates from the housing part 12 at an opening position, and the guide display part 30 is provided on the front-end surface 23. |
