PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball having a low amount of spin of a driver shot.SOLUTION: A golf ball includes a spherical core 4, and a cover 12 of at least one or more layers coating the spherical core 4. The spherical core 4 is formed from a rubber composition which contains base rubber, α,&bgr;-unsaturated carboxylic acid of a carbon number of 3-8 and/or its metallic salt as a co-cross-linking agent, a crosslinking initiator, and a chelate agent, and further contains a metallic compound in the case of containing only the α,&bgr;-unsaturated carboxylic acid of a carbon number of 3-8 as a co-cross-linking agent. |
