摘要 A cooling system, wherein: a control is performed, without requiring use of a costly wet- and dry-bulb temperature measurement sensor, in a manner equivalent to that in an instance in which a wet- and dry-bulb temperature measurement sensor is used, using only a sensor for measuring cooling water temperature; and the energy consumption of an inverter device is reduced even when the external air conditions are such that a cooling effect commensurate with the rotation speed of a cooling fan or a cooling water pump cannot be obtained. This invention is provided with a cooling tower (1), a refrigerator (2), a cooling fan (11) provided to the cooling tower (1), a cooling water pump (21) for circulating cooling water between the cooling tower (1) and the refrigerator (2), an inlet temperature sensor (7) for detecting the cooling water temperature at the inlet of the cooling tower (1), and an inverter device (12) for performing a variable speed control on the cooling fan (11). When the output frequency of the inverter device (12) reaches an upper limit frequency, the output frequency is gradually lowered, the output frequency at which there is no increase in the detected value (T2) of the inlet temperature of the cooling water with the reduction in the output frequency is recorded, and the inverter device (12) is subsequently operated on the basis of the recorded output frequency.
