Disclosed are a cell measurement method, a user equipment, and a wireless communications node, which can save battery energy of a user equipment (UE) and improve the user experience. The method comprises: (101) a UE receiving indication information which is about a non-serving cell frequency channel number or an inter-system frequency channel number and delivered by a wireless communications node; (102) the UE determining a measurement period of the non-serving cell frequency channel number or the inter-system frequency channel number according to a current movement speed of the UE and the indication information about the non-serving cell frequency channel number or the inter-system frequency channel number; and (103) the UE measuring the non-serving cell frequency channel number or the inter-system frequency channel number according to the determined measurement period of the non-serving cell frequency channel number or the inter-system frequency channel number.
