The present invention relates to a device to produce a glutinous rice cake. More specifically, the present invention provides a mold pressing device to produce a glutinous rice cake, wherein the mold is automatically pressed such that glutinous rice dough contained in the mold is divided into a plurality of pieces. To achieve this in the present invention, the mold pressing device comprises: a roller conveyor in which a plurality of rollers are arranged and installed at particular intervals which sequentially transfers molds one by one, wherein the mold is formed in a state in which a lattice frame is put on a rice dough such that the rice dough spread at a specific thickness in a kneading frame can be divided into the plurality of pieces; a first motor which applies a rotary drive force to the rollers of the roller conveyor; a first sensor which senses the position of the molds transferred by the roller conveyor means; a first top actuator installed on the top of the roller conveyor to make a cylinder rod ascend and descend in accordance to the signals from the first sensor; and a pressurizing plate fixated to the cylinder rod of the first top actuator to press the lattice frame of the mold placed on the roller of the roller conveyor from the top part thereof when the first top actuator is made to descend.
