PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet transport device that can excellently suppress generation of abnormal noise in sheet transportation, an image reader equipped with the sheet transport device, and a separation pad pair having separation pads applicable to the sheet transport device or the image reader.SOLUTION: A separation pad pair 20 mounted on a support part 30 includes a film 22 which has both its sheet transport-directional ends stuck on a separation pad 21 and also has its intermediate part arranged while bent to float over a reverse side face 21B. The film 22 comes into contact with a support surface 31 provided at the support part 30, a press member 33, and a screw engagement part 37. Further, the intermediate part floats over the reverse side face 21B, so the film 22 does behave integrally with the separation pad 21. Consequently, the film 22 operates as a damper between the support part 30 of a second enclosure 11 and the separation pad 21 to suppress vibration of the separation pad 21, so that generation of abnormal noise in sheet transportation can be excellently suppressed. |
