PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blended milk composition for infant containing polyunsaturated fatty acid and a method for manufacturing and use of the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a blended milk composition containing long chain n-3 fatty acid and long chain n-6 fatty acid when an infant is ready for consumption, in which: the long chain n-3 fatty acid contains docosahexaenoic acid (DHA); the long chain n-6 fatty acid contains docosapentaenoic acid (DPA (n-6)) and optionally arachidonic acid (ARA); a ratio of ARA:DHA is about less than 3:1; and ratio DHA:DPA (n-6) is about 5:1 to about 0.5:1. DHA, ARA or DPA (n-6) are derived from a resource selected from a group consisting of plant, oil seed, microorganism, animal and a mixture thereof. |
