<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user-friendly gesture operation apparatus.SOLUTION: The gesture operation apparatus includes: a camera 17 which is disposed facing toward an operator; a control section 14 connected to a gesture detection section 18 that detects gestures of the operator from a camera signal 20 output from the camera 17; a line-of-sight detection section 19 connected to the control section 14 to detect a line of sight of the operator from the camera signal 20; and a display section 12 that displays images to the operator. The gesture operation apparatus is configured so that the gesture detection section 18 detects a gesture of the operator and when the line-of-sight detection section 19 detects that the line of sight of the operator is addressed to the display section 12, the gesture detection section 18 outputs the detected gesture to the control section 14, and the control section 14 carries out an operation corresponding to the gesture.</p> |
