The present invention provides a coated optical fiber which is excellent in terms of both characteristics of microbending loss resistance and low-temperature characteristics. The coated optical fiber (1) has an optical fiber (10), a primary coating layer (20), and a secondary coating layer (30). The optical fiber (10) has a clad layer formed on the outer circumference of a glass core, the clad layer being made of glass. The primary coating layer (20) coats the outer circumference of the optical fiber (10). The secondary coating layer (30) coats the outer circumference of the primary coating layer (20). The Young's modulus of the primary coating layer (20) is 1.2 MPa or less. The Young's modulus of the secondary coating layer (30) is 700 MPa or more. The tin content ratio in the primary coating layer (20) is 70 ppm or less. |
