<p>To prevent a chain of failure from occurring if either a hub bearing or a main drive unit fails. A drive output shaft (10) from a main drive unit (A) and a wheel-hub shaft (70) supported with respect to an axle housing (72) by a hub bearing (71) are coupled by a displacement-absorbing mechanism (B). This vehicular in-wheel motor unit is provided with a first isolating structural member, consisting of an output-shaft-side cover (4) and an oil seal (5), that isolates the main drive unit (A) and the hub bearing (71).</p> |
