The invention relates to a method for producing sheets from thin strand-shaped profiles, made of magnesium or magnesium alloy. In a preceding step of the method, an open or closed extruded profile is produced. The extruded profile (6) emerging from the extrusion die of an extrusion press (1) is deformed in a contactless manner due to electromagnetic forces being applied, thus forming a flat sheet (7). |
