1. A spinal stabilization device comprising:
an elastic member having an elongate aspect for spanning a distance between a pair of adjacent spinous processes, the elastic member comprising a first end and a second end and having a predetermined tensile stiffness; and a plurality of connection elements adapted to attach respective ends of the elastic member to the spinous processes, wherein the connection elements are configured to be passed through a bore in the spinous process, and wherein the stiffness of the elastic member is selected to provide a clinically appropriate and substantially physiologic range of motion. |
