<p>Disclosed is a parking guidance system and a parking guidance method capable of allowing a driver to easily recognize a vehicle when entering a parking lot using a visible light communication (VLC) device, and guiding the driver to a parking location through an LED signage installed at a street corner when the driver wants to park his or her vehicle. The parking guidance system comprises: a visible light transceiver unit installed in a vehicle transmitting and receiving visible light including information of the vehicle; a vehicle sensor installed in an entrance and exit location of a parking lot, and receiving the information of the vehicle from the visible light transceiver unit; a plurality of parking lot sensor installed in each of the parking lots of a unit parking lot, and sensing occupancy and non-occupancy of the parking lots; a plurality of parking guidance display units displaying a movement direction of a vehicle towards an available parking lot; and a central control server receiving the vehicle information from the vehicle sensor, recognizing a parking lot occupancy situation, and controlling the parking guidance display units to guide the vehicle to an unoccupied parking lot. Since the vehicle is directly guided to an unoccupied parking lot when the information of the vehicle is received, the driver of the vehicle can directly move to the parking lot without having to continuously move in search of an available parking lot.</p> |
