The present invention relates to a method for operating a task in an electronic device and an electronic device thereof. The method for operating a task in an electronic device comprises the steps of: generating at least one task for each protocol layer based on a work to be processed; executing the at least one task generated for each protocol layer through at least one central processing unit (CPU); determining whether a workload to be processed is changed or not; and changing, if the workload to be processed is changed, a workload of the at least one task which is being executed.
