PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic capacitor that has a capacitor element around which an anode foil and a cathode foil respectively having an extraction lead tab connected thereto are wound via a separator and that can avoid short-circuit even if the capacitor element generates heat when overload (for example, excess voltage, excess temperature, and rapid charge/discharge) is added.SOLUTION: An electrolytic capacitor has a folding portion of a cathode foil provided so as to surround an extraction lead tab and a joint portion where overlapped portions of this folding portion are jointed to each other. |
