PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorine-containing nanocomposite particle using a fluorine-containing alcohol having excellent water- and oil-repellent performance while generating no perfluorooctanoic acid nor the like even when released in the environment, and a production method thereof.SOLUTION: A fluorine-containing nanocomposite particle is produced by condensation reaction of a fluorine-containing alcohol R-A-OH (where Ris a perfluoroalkyl group and A is 2 alkylene group) with alkoxysilane in the presence of an alkaline or acidic catalyst.
