<p>The present invention relates to a method for allocating a channel to a secondary user terminal in a cognitive radio network. More specifically, according to the method, it is determined whether an estimate of channel use is changed during a period of channel detection time, and then estimate information of the channel use is generated using a small amount of data only if the estimate of the channel use is changed. Also, the actual channel use period of a primary user terminal is detected by using estimate information on an adjacent channel use obtained from an adjacent secondary user terminal and estimate information on the channel use obtained from the secondary user terminal. Thus, a method of allocating a channel based on prediction can be provided, which is capable of maximizing efficiency in channel use without disrupting communications of a primary user terminal.</p> |
