The present invention relates to a home key of portable devices having a fingerprint recognition function and a manufacturing method thereof. More specifically, disclosed are a fingerprint recognition sensor formed with a separated sensing part area, a fingerprint recognition home key using the same, and a manufacturing method thereof. The present invention includes: a flexible printed circuit board (FPCB) having a connecting portion which is connected to the devices; an ASIC which is formed on the FPCB; and a sensing pattern which is formed on the FPCB and connected through the ASIC and the circuit pattern, wherein the sensing pattern is formed in the separated sensing area which is not overlapped with an area in which the ASIC is formed.
