<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle internal combustion engine having a middle part of an intake pipe arranged above an exhaust manifold and capable of suppressing the middle part of the intake pipe from being heated with a simple configuration and preventing degradation in charging efficiency.SOLUTION: A middle part 9a of an intake pipe 9 is arranged above an exhaust manifold 7. A duct plate 16 covering the middle part 9a of the intake pipe 9 from below is connected to the middle part 9a, thereby forming an intake pipe cooling path 15 that surrounds generally a lower half of a circumference of the middle part 9a. A traveling-wind intake port 16 is provided on one end of the intake pipe cooling path 15 whereas the other end of the intake pipe cooling path 15 is open to an engine room as an exhaust port 17. An increase in an intake air temperature can be prevented since the duct plate 16 shields radiation heat of the exhaust manifold 7 and traveling wind cools the middle part 9a of the intake pipe 9. An internal combustion engine can be provided without large cost increase differently from a case of providing a fan since the traveling wind of the vehicle is used to cool the middle part 9a.</p> |
