PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder which has excellent effects of suppressing segregation and dust emission and excellent fluidity at both ordinary temperature and high temperatures.SOLUTION: A binder comprises an iron-based powder and an auxiliary material powder, is to be blended with a mixed powder for powder metallurgy and consists of one or more selected from butene-based polymers of a melting point of 50-85°C and a heating melt fluidity at 190°C of 2.0-3.6 g/10 min and methacrylic acid-based polymers of a weight average molecular weight of 1,000,000 or smaller.
