PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for releasing a memory area secured by a program without restricting execution of the program.SOLUTION: A storage area management method is executed by a processor of a computer. The processor: allocates a second storage area that is not subject to a garbage collection to the computer by a program having at least one thread including object data; stores the object data in a first storage area according to execution of at least one thread; and moves to the second storage area, the object data that are left after one or more garbage collections are generated in the first storage area and stored in the first storage area (process 703).
