<p>The present invention provides a development and characterization of the d-a-tocopheryl polyethylene glycol 1000 succinate (TPGS) surface functionalized liposome formulations for enhanced tumor delivery of docetaxel. The presence of TPGS surface coating on liposomes provided enhanced circulation half life, superior antitumor efficacy and safety profile as compared to commercial formulation (Taxotere®), PEGylated liposomes, conventional liposomes and free drug.</p> |
