PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus capable of maintaining a power-saving state by changing a packet pattern for determining communication request which can be responded in the power-saving state on the basis of an ARP proxy correspondence state of a wireless LAN access point to be connected.SOLUTION: An MFP100 determines whether an AP112 can respond to communication request to be received by proxy of the MFP100. On the basis of determined result, the MFP100 changes a packet pattern for determining a kind of the communication request in a power-saving state.
