PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a dust magnetic core excellent in strength and magnetic characteristics, stably at low costs.SOLUTION: A powder 1 for magnetic core comprises a soft magnetic metal powder 2, an insulation coat 3 coated on the surface of the soft magnetic metal powder 2 and a lubrication film 4 coated on the surface of the insulation coat 3. The lubrication film 4 is formed by eliminating the solvent ingredient of a lubricant solution 26 supplied into a container 21 in which a coated powder 1' consisting of the soft magnetic metal powder 2 surface-coated with the insulation film 3 is stirred in a floating state and adhering a lubricating ingredient to the surface of the coated powder 1'.
