Systems and methods for providing infant monitoring and support avoid image degradation, for x-ray imaging, related to sensors used for infant monitoring by separating an infant-supporting body from a sensor-carrying body. The sensor-carrying body, and with it any number of related sensors, is moved out of the way during x-ray imaging.

1. An x-ray-compatible infant monitoring and support system comprising:
a sensor-carrying body configured to carry one or more sensors; one or more sensors carried by the sensor-carrying body, wherein the one or more sensors are configured to generate one or more output signals conveying information related to one or more physiological parameters of an infant, the one or more physiological parameters including one or more vital signs of the infant; and an infant-supporting body configured to support an infant on a top-surface of the infant-supporting body, wherein the infant-supporting body is configured to be disposed on top of the sensor-carrying body, such that the one or more sensors carried by the sensor-carrying body generate one or more output signals conveying information related to one or more physiological parameters of the supported infant, and wherein the sensor-carrying body and infant-supporting body comprise different structures such that the sensor-carrying body and the infant-supporting body can be separated to facilitate capture of an x-ray image of the supported infant that is uncorrupted by image degradation related to the one or more sensors.
