<p>A rod support having at least one cylindrical plug 22 and socket 20 connector for mounting of an ancillary device such as a cross bar 23, a bite indicator or a line tensioning arm. The plug and the socket are magnetically attracted to one another. One of the plug and the socket is formed as part of the rod support and the other is separable from the rod support and securable to the ancillary device. Magnets 32, 34 with opposite polarity are provided on the plug and socket respectively. The support is further provided with a locating pin 62 which prevents the plug and socket rotating relative to one another. The cross bar itself may have multiple plug and socket connectors that are magnetically attracted to each other for connecting ancillary devices.</p> |
