The present invention relates to a mobile phone battery charger and a control method thereof, wherein the mobile phone battery charger comprises: a charger embedding battery; a power input part for receiving commercial alternating current power; a current transforming part for transforming the inputted alternating current power into direct current power and outputting the direct current power; a switching part for selectively supplying the direct current power, outputted by the current transforming part, to one between a connection terminal of the mobile phone where the mobile phone battery is installed and the charger embedding battery; a battery sensing part for sensing a charging state of the mobile phone battery; and a controller for controlling the switching part to supply the direct current power, outputted by the current transforming part, to the charger embedding battery in the case that the mobile phone battery is fully charged. The present invention charges the mobile phone battery by using a commercial power source if the commercial power source is supplied, thereby charging the mobile phone while using the mobile phone without a restriction to usage time. Additionally, the present invention charges the mobile phone via an assistant battery in the place where the commercial power source is not supplied, thereby charging the mobile phone while using the mobile phone without a restriction to a place. |
