PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a user processing time in the case of transferring a large capacity electronic file between a sender terminal and a recipient terminal. SOLUTION: Disclosed is a file transfer system in which a transmission source client terminal, a transmission destination client terminal and a plurality of delivery Web servers are connected via a network. Each of the delivery Web servers includes: a file transmission/reception part for transmitting/receiving a file; and a round trip time (RTT) calculation part for calculating a RTT between the transmission source client terminal or the transmission destination client terminal and the plurality of delivery Web servers. The transmission source client terminal accesses one delivery Web server among the plurality of delivery Web servers, and transmits an electronic file including the electronic mail address of the transmission destination client terminal and a location hint and a file body to be transmitted to a second delivery Web server whose RTT is the shortest.
