The present invention relates to an inter-train distance control system. The inter-train distance control system according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: onboard train control units (20) which are arranged on respective trains running on a track (R) and periodically reports the detection information detected by an internal location detection device (26) from an onboard antenna (22) to a ground train control unit (10) through a ground antenna (12); and the ground train control unit (10) which identifies all trains within a coverage area to calculate the safe distance between the trains, and assigns the movement authority (MA) to the onboard train control units (20) respectively based on the calculated distance.
