A dual buffering file management system of the present invention includes: a write block selecting unit which searches, from a nonvolatile storage, blocks with a version immediately prior to a version of an original block corresponding to data included in a checkpoint transaction, and which selects a block to be written according to the search result; a write operation processing unit which performs a writing operation of writing the data included in the checkpoint transaction on the block to be written selected from the nonvolatile storage; and a tree structure management unit which sets a host system to point a root node of an original tree structure configured to point data blocks, for which a write operation is newly performed, and the original blocks not updated. The nonvolatile storage may store an original tree structure pointing data blocks, for which a write operation is newly performed, and the original blocks not updated; and an immediately prior tree structure pointing an immediately prior version of the blocks and the original blocks not updated.
