<p>A device that is capable of recognising a person, retrieving information regarding said recognised person and relaying all or part of the information to the user. The device is for use with a mental cognitive condition such as alzheimers, and provides the user with information to whether the person that is recognised is a friend, relative or a carer. Preferably the device uses a camera 225 which is connected or integral to the device and face recognition software to identify a person; information regarding the person is partly or wholly relayed to the user by audio means such as an ear piece 255 or coded vibration and/or visual means such as a screen or display which may be embedded into the lens of glasses 280, 285. The device may be in the form of a mobile communications device, and information may be relayed to the device via the internet. The device may be worn or carried by the user, and may allow the user to sound and/or raise an alarm.</p> |
