<p>A friction hinge includes a main unit 10 and a micro-adjustment unit 20. The main unit includes a fixed track 11 and a linkage 13 with a support arm 14 connected with a window pane 40 with a connecting portion 141. The micro-adjustment unit includes a cover plate 22, and a contact member 21 is located between the cover plate and connecting portion. The contact member has a rotation portion 211, located either within the cover plate or the connection portion, and a driving post 212 which is located at an eccentric position on the rotation portion (i.e. a cam). Screws are located in elongate slots on the cover plate and/or connection portion allow them to slide relative to each other when the driving post is rotated. The micro-adjustment unit therefore adjusts the position of the window pane relative to the window frame to prevent it fouling on the frame when closed.
