The present invention relates to an information providing method based on search, which can evaluate search prereference for each content based on a user′s access information for search results corresponding to the user′s query, and which can compensate for the search results based on the evaluation result and provide the compensated search results in order for the user to access desired information more easily and quickly, and an information providing apparatus and a terminal therefor. The information providing method based on search includes collecting search result access information including at least one of one or more users′access sequence for a plurality of content extracted as search results corresponding to a user′s query and visit time for each content during a search service, evaluating search reference for each searched content based on the collected search result access information, and compensating for a display type of the search results and providing the compensated search results such that the user can preferentially access highly relevant content based on the evaluation result.
