REQUANTIZATION METHOD FOR PREVENTING DISTORTION OF CORRELATION RESULT IN VCS

A requantization method for preventing distortion of a correlation result in a VLBI correlation subsystem (VCS) according to the present invention includes: a first step of calculating bit-distribution with respect to astronomical observation data from multiple observation stations; a second step of receiving fast Fourier transform (FFT) result values of 16 bits obtained by performing FFT on the observation data from the multiple observation stations; a third step of selecting a valid bit based on bit distribution from 15 bits except for a code bit among the FFT result values received in the second step; and requantizing the valid bit selected in the third step into 8 bits by an encoder.
