The present invention relates to a human serum N-sugar chain map, a human serum N-sugar chain library, and a method for verifying a serum sample using the same. As a result of isolating and analyzing sugar chains from approximately 200 serum samples from normal subjects and patients, identified were 18 basic sugar chains that are found in 100% of both normal subjects and patients. These 18 kinds of basic sugar chains can be used to verify that there is no problem in the procedure of collection and treatment of a human serum sample. In addition, the present inventors found out that although the N-sugar chains of human serum protein include a great number of theoretically possible kinds of sugar chains, only the structures as shown in figure 3 actually exist. Furthermore, the present inventors determine the percentage of appearance of the N-sugar chains having existing structures, thereby finding out that the N-sugar chains having a low probability of appearance can be used as markers for a particular disease.
|
