[Class 20 (iii)] A regulator for sliding vehicle windows comprises a chain or like flexible member v passing over pulleys and connected to the windows at j and operated by chain, &c., r and pawls x on a sliding member n on the sill. The pawls are mounted on a pivoted lever w on the slide and are selectively engaged in the chain, &c., by means of a spring-controlled plunger z mounted in the handle o. An expanding spring clutch operated by the arm 7 on the chain pulley t, Fig. 2, prevents lowering of the window by gravity. |
