<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for enhancing cognitive development, which can diagnose cognitive development in a child′s unconscious state by using toys. The apparatus includes: an information collecting unit which measures and collects toy information, child information, a degree of interaction with toys, and a child′s behavior while the child plays with the toys, wherein the degree of interaction with the toys and the child′s behavior are measured and collected by at least one sensing device arranged in the toys; an inferring and diagnosing unit which infers a cognitive development index based on the information collected by the information collecting unit, and which diagnoses cognitive development based on the cognitive development index; and a recommendation unit which selects and recommends toys for supplementing or enhancing the child′s cognitive development based on the diagnosed cognitive development.</p> |
