An apparatus and a method for reducing handover delay in a wireless communications system by processing a service flow are provided to reduce the handover delay by performing a call or connection admission control in the wireless communication system. A handover method in a wireless communications system is as follows. In case a terminal(101) of a neighboring base center handovers, it confirms whether the handover of the terminal is supported. One or more service flows which it produces in order to provide service to the terminal is confirmed in the neighboring base center. Service flows are confirmed through a call admission control. In case one or more service flows is accepted, the terminal and data path are comprised about the service flows accepted. |
