<p>Disclosed are a system to control reactive power reserves, a method thereof, and a computer-readable program to perform the method. The system to control reactive power reserves includes a data acquisition unit, a sensitivity calculation unit, a normalization unit, a weighted value calculation unit, and a power reserve calculation unit. The data acquisition unit acquires data of a power system. The sensitivity calculation unit calculates reactive power sensitivities between an observation bus bar preset for an accident bus bar and generators in the power system. The normalization unit normalizes the calculated reactive power sensitivities based on the reactive power sensitivity, of the observation bus bar and a generator which has the maximum sensitivity, among the calculated reactive power sensitivities. The weighted value calculation unit calculates weighted values for the generators by multiplying the normalized values and reactive power reserves of corresponding generators. The power reserve calculation unit calculates the available reactive power reserve for the observation bus bar by adding the calculated weighted values of the generators. By applying a weighted value for an accident to each generator of the power system, it is possible to improve accuracy of reactive power reserves by reflecting local features to the reactive power reserves and control the reactive power reserves of the power system effectively by predicting the reactive power reserves for the accident.</p> |
