A method and apparatus for automatically changing a network in a mobile communication terminal are provided. The method includes determining whether the network needs to change, transmitting location information of the terminal to a server when the network needs to change, receiving network information based on the location information from the server, and setting network connection information of the terminal based on the received network information.

1. A method of automatically changing a network in a mobile communication terminal, the method comprising:
determining whether the network needs to change by acquiring location information of the terminal; when it is determined that the network needs to change, transmitting the location information of the terminal to a server; receiving network information based on the location information from the server; and setting network connection information of the terminal based on the received network information, wherein the determining of whether the network needs to change comprises: comparing a strength of a signal received from the network currently accessed by the terminal with a threshold; and determining that the network needs to change if the signal strength is less than the threshold, and determining that the network does not need to change if the signal strength is greater than or equal to the threshold.
