Provided are a system and a method for monitoring context-cognition cultural properties based on AD-HOC networking, capable of: reducing blind spots of surveillance cameras by sharing context information through sound sources, images or a combination thereof in the surveillance cameras based on AD-HOC networking; obtaining maximum monitoring effects with a small number of cameras and reducing monitoring costs by monitoring wider areas using movable surveillance cameras; identifying or predicting a current location of an object to be monitored, an escape direction of an intruder, and a damage status of a cultural property through the information shared based on the AD-HOC networking; identifying a location of an object to be monitored, which is not even captured by the surveillance cameras, using a sound through context-cognition by sound source tracking to control cameras and to record images; and maximizing cultural property monitoring effects by sharing location information of the object to be monitored through surveillance cameras to be tracked through the cooperation among the surveillance cameras using the surveillance camera network. |
