The present invention relates to a cooking pot which can be used for cooking at home and can alternatively be used as a double boiler with only replacement of a cover. According to the present invention, the cooking pot has operation bodies which slide on grips formed on an edge of the top of a cooking pot main body. An edge of the cooking pot cover is bent to the outside. Therefore, the operation bodies slide to be placed on the edge of the cooking pot cover; and the operation bodies press on the edge of the cooking pot cover and seal and lock the cooking pot. The cooking pot is used for cooking. When a user wants to use the cooking pot as a double boiler, the cooking pot cover is separated from the cooking pot; and an additional double-boiler cover closes and locks the cooking pot in a sliding movement while a double-boiling container is placed on an inner side of the cooking pot main body. Thereby, the cooking pot can be used as the double boiler with only replacement of the cover.
