An apparatus for automatically controlling pair cross comprises: at least one stand which rolls a steel plate by making a pair of backup rolls and a pair of work rolls to perform pair cross; a rolled element collecting unit which collects rolled element information to detect that the pair cross is pushed toward an entry when the rolling process is performed by at least one stand; a stabilizer which supports that the pair cross returns toward the delivery by generating repulsive force to correct the movement of pair cross pushed toward the entry through gapless control; and a control unit which calculates the action force difference value of the pair cross through the rolled element information from the rolled element collecting unit and which performs gapless control on the stabilizer if the action force difference value is larger than the initial action force of the stabilizer.
