The present invention relates to a method for extracting lutein from green tea and, more specifically, to a method for checking whether lutein has antioxidant and anticancer activity by separating a purified form of lutein that is a carotenoid-based pigment from green tea in order to perform bioactive consideration of lutein separated from green tea and to grasp characteristics regarding the use of these dye-based compounds and testing antioxidant and anticancer activity of the separated lutein that is a carotenoid-based pigment. According to the present invention, the method can obtain the possibility of proposing a new source of an anticancer composition while determining a new bioactive function of green tea and the effect of proposing a new function of green tea as an anticancer composition. |
