The present invention relates to a brake device for a wire rope of a stage setting which immediately holds a stage setting when a wire rope holding the stage setting to lift/lower the stage setting is broken, thereby preventing an accident. The brake device for a wire rope of a stage setting includes: a bracket having a guide roller guiding a wire rope (W) installed on a frame (P) installed on an upper portion of a stage, and a pressing tool for wedges; a rotary arm including a mounting roller having one end coupled to the frame (P) or the bracket by a hinge to be rotated with respect to the hinge and the other end mounted on the upper portion of the wire rope (W); and a wedge arm having one end coupled to the rotary arm by a hinge to be rotated with respect to the hinge and the other end having a wedge. When the wire rope (W) is broken, the rotary arm rotates to enable the wedge of the wedge arm to be inserted between the pressing tool for wedges and the wire rope (W) in order to fixate the wire rope (W). |
